The Board of Trustees elected a new slate of officers at its May 10 meeting: Arthur “Lex” Birney Jr. as chair, Susan Dyer as vice-chair, John Wobensmith ’93 as treasurer, and Lawrence Leak ’76 as secretary.

Provost and Dean of Faculty Michael Wick announced today that Antonio Ugues Jr., associate professor of political science, will serve as the director for the Center for the Study of Democracy at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. He will begin the position on Monday, July 1. Todd Eberly, associate professor of political science and public policy, had been serving in an interim capacity since July 2018.
