St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s Center for the Study of Democracy will hold its annual legislative debrief session on Monday, April 15 at 5:30 p.m. in Glendening Annex on the College’s campus.  The event is free of charge and open to the public.

Professor of English Jennifer Cognard-Black has been selected as a finalist for Baylor University’s 2020 Robert Foster Cherry Award for Great Teaching, the only national teaching award – with the single largest monetary reward of $250,000 – presented by a college or university to an individual for exceptional teaching.

St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s José Cacayo Ballesteros, Steven Muller Distinguished Professor of the Arts and professor of international languages and cultures, will present “Mother Tongue: A Poetry Reading by José Cacayo Ballesteros” on Friday, April 12, 2:45 – 3:45 p.m. in Anne Arundel Hall’s Blackistone Room.
