Effective July 1, St. Mary’s College of Maryland Professor of Art History Joe Lucchesi began tenure as chief reader for College Board's Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) Art History course and exam. In that capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the standard-setting and scoring of AP® art history exams across the United States.
On July 26 at 7:30 p.m., St. Mary's College music students Michael Miller '20 and Jeanette Marie Warren '20 will join the National Philharmonic’s Summer Choral Institute for a concert at the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center at Montgomery College. Featuring Mozart’s "Coronation Mass in C" and Gabriel Faure’s "Requiem," the concert is free and open to the public.

For eight weeks this summer, eight students and their faculty mentors participated in the annual St. Mary’s Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program.
St. Mary’s College of Maryland welcomed four new trustees in June: Paula Collins, Judith M. Fillius ’79, William E. Seale, and Ray Wernecke. All four will serve a six-year term of service on the College’s Board of Trustees.
