Hurricane Florence Update

St. Mary's College of Maryland Emergency Response Team has continued to monitor the expected track of Hurricane Florence and its potential to interrupt operations at the College. The track of the storm presently suggests its greatest impact will be near the Carolinas with Maryland outside the scope of the storm’s most significant impact.

On Sept. 19 at 4:45 p.m. in Schaefer Hall room 106, St. Mary’s College of Maryland will welcome Anthony Hey, former vice president of Microsoft Research Connections for a lecture on the future of artificial intelligence and computing. This event, part of the Natural Science and Mathematics colloquium series, is free of charge and open to the public.

St. Mary’s College of Maryland named one of the 2018-19 Best Colleges by Money magazine

St. Mary’s College of Maryland has been named a Best College for 2018-19 by Money magazine. Money analyzed graduation rates, tuition charges, family borrowing, and alumni earnings (plus 22 other data points) to find the country’s top values.

The personal papers of John Hanson Briscoe (1934-2014), former speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates and longtime St. Mary’s County lawyer and judge, will be preserved at St. Mary’s College of Maryland Archives.

For the third consecutive year, LendEDU has completed an annual Student Loan Debt by School by State Report, a comprehensive analysis of student loan debt statistics for over 1,000 colleges and universities throughout the United States.
