St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s Office of Institutional Advancement, led by Vice President Carolyn Curry, has won four awards in the 35th Annual Educational Advertising Awards.
The increasingly-popular Hawktoberfest earned a silver award in the Special Event category and this past Giving Tuesday earned a bronze award in the Fund-Raising Campaign category. The campaigns were 100 percent created and executed by the Institutional Advancement team. Two awards were submitted on behalf of St. Mary’s College by its marketing partner Creative Communication Associates. Under the category of Total Recruitment Package - the College’s viewbook, travel piece, and LEAD brochure - a silver award was earned. This fall’s open house advertising campaign was awarded a bronze award in the Integrated Marketing Campaign category. Partly because of the campaign, which prominently launched the College’s new brand, the fall 2019 open houses saw an increase of 72 percent in attendance by prospective students over the previous year.
The Annual Educational Advertising Awards is sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report. The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, over 2,350 entries were received from over 1,000 colleges, universities, and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.
