Jeffrey Lombardo, visiting assistant professor of biology, recently presented an invited talk at the joint meeting of the Entomological Society of America, the Entomological Society of British Columbia, and the Entomological Society of Canada, in Vancouver, Canada. The talked focused on research that was recently published in the journal Oecologia, and was featured in a number of national and international news outlets.

Seabird McKeon Named Special Initiatives Coordinator for the Ecological Society of America Natural History Section

Seabird McKeon, a visiting faculty member with St. Mary's College department of biology, has been named the natural history special initiatives coordinator for the Ecological Society of America. In this national role, McKeon will be championing the role of natural history clubs and organizations on college campuses, and launching the National Biodiversity Championships in the summer of 2019.  An expert on global biodiversity and evolutionary ecology, McKeon currently teaches Coastal Ecology for St. Mary's College students.
