St. Mary's College of Maryland has been recognized by The Student Loan Report for creating an environment in which graduates can leave campus with a limited amount of student loan debt. Specifically, St. Mary's College ranked #1 when it came to lowest student debt figures in the state of Maryland.

St. Mary’s College is also included in the 2019 Fiske Guide to Colleges, Money’s 2018-19 Best Colleges, and Forbes Best Value Colleges (2018).
