On Friday, September 17 at 3 p.m. in the Auerbach Auditorium of St. Mary’s Hall on the St. Mary’s College of Maryland campus, the Center for the Study of Democracy presents Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) as the speaker for the Judge William O.E. Sterling Constitution Day Lecture.

St. Mary’s College of Maryland recently launched an initiative to acknowledge the land on which the College sits and its historic links to Indigenous Peoples and their territories.  

Academic Program Coordinator and Departmental Web Specialist for Psychology Angela Draheim virtually attended the 46th Phi Beta Kappa (PBK) Triennial Council Meeting on August 3-6, 2021. During the council’s meeting of chapter delegates, St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s Zeta of Maryland Chapter of PBK was recognized by the National Office of PBK as one of two outstanding public university chapters, sharing that title with the Mu of California Chapter at the University of California at Irvine.

St. Mary’s College of Maryland, in continued partnership with The Patuxent Partnership (TPP) - a local nonprofit organization that works with government, industry, and academia on initiatives in science and technology - has awarded the inaugural The Patuxent Partnership Physics Scholarship. 

First-year student Caitlin Kubina, of Columbia, Maryland, has been selected to receive a $10,000 scholarship award for the 2021-2022 academic year.
