St. Mary’s College of Maryland to Host Southern Maryland Legislators, Dec 1

St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s Center for the Study of Democracy will hold a legislative preview session on Wednesday, December 1 at 6 p.m. in Glendening Annex on the College’s campus.  The event is free of charge and open to the public.

Elected officials to participate include:

  • State Senator John D. (Jack) Bailey (R-Md.)
  • Delegate Brian Crosby (D-Md.)

Center for the Study of Democracy Director Antonio Ugues Jr., associate professor of political science, will facilitate discussion and lead a question and answer session between legislators, students and members of the community.

The Center for the Study of Democracy is a joint venture between St. Mary’s College of Maryland and Historic St. Mary’s City. The Center explores contemporary and historical issues associated with the ideas of democracy, liberty and justice in national and international contexts.  (www.smcm.edu/democracy)
