Ellen Kohl, assistant professor of environmental studies, recently partnered with Ridge Elementary School to secure a $5,000 Chesapeake Land Trust grant to implement an outdoor classroom at Ridge Elementary School.

St. Mary’s College Ranked 29 Among Top Liberal Arts Colleges in 2020 Washington Monthly College Rankings

For the past fifteen years, Washington Monthly College Guide has ranked colleges “based on what they do for the country.” In the rankings released yesterday, St. Mary’s College of Maryland is ranked 29 among the top Liberal Arts Colleges in the United States.

St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s Center for the Study of Democracy and the St. Mary’s County Historical Society present the first speaker in the Inaugural “Historically Speaking” lecture series. Featuring the Honorable Daniel A. Friedman, Maryland Court of Special Appeals, the lecture will take place virtually on Wednesday, September 16 at 7 p.m.
