Institutional Advancement at St. Mary’s College Wins Gold in CASE Awards for Giving Tuesday Fundraising Campaign

St. Mary’s College of Maryland is proud to announce Crystal Gibson to the position of Director of Athletics and Recreation effective June 30, 2020, following the retirement of longtime director Scott Devine.
In her position, Gibson will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure success in the athletics and recreation program while supporting the mission, goals and objectives of the College.
The Center for the Study of Democracy will present a virtual panel featuring St. Mary's College of Maryland scientists on the St. Mary’s County COVID-19 Scientific Advisory Group and the St. Mary’s County Health Department to discuss public health issues including COVID-19 on Wednesday, June 24, from 11:30 a.m.
Professor of Psychology Libby Nutt Williams recently published an article in the journal Psychotherapy with alumna Emily Morgan ’17. The article, “A Qualitative Study of Psychotherapists’ In-Session Tears,” which is based on Morgan’s SMP examines the impact of therapists’ crying during counseling sessions from the point of view of the therapist.
The St. Mary’s County Health Department (SMCHD), St. Mary’s College of Maryland (SMCM), and the St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission (MetCom) have partnered on a pilot project to monitor the presence of COVID-19 in local wastewater.
