Professor of Anthropology Julia King was recently awarded a $110,000 grant from the National Park Service to fund a complete archeological overview and assessment of Piscataway Park in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Assistant Professor of Neurobiology Sarah Latchney was recently interviewed by the Allen Institute as one of three educators highlighted because they are using the institute's open access datasets to support remote learning in the neurology and biology classrooms. She is using images and lesson plans stored and developed by the institute to support Principles of Biology 1 this fall.

Sue Johnson, professor of art, exhibits her work in a solo exhibition titled, “Hall of Portraits from The History of Machines,” now on view at VisArts Gibbs Street Gallery in Rockville, Maryland, from Sept. 11 – Oct. 18, 2020. The free virtual opening takes place on Sept. 25, from 5-7 p.m.
