Associate Professor Tristan Cai has Solo Exhibiton in Greece

Associate Professor of Photography Tristan Cai opened a solo exhibition, "Imagined Spectres," at the Ionion Center for the Arts and Culture, Kefalonia, Greece. The exhibition showcases the imagined landscapes of primordial earth and the much-hyped sightings of pink snow in alpine environments. Cai presents these wondrous phenomena with large-scale photographs as well as an immersive video installation of the microscopic world of red algae cells obtained from a single drop of melted snow.

Two Associate Professors Named to Distinguished Professorship

St. Mary’s College of Maryland Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty Katie Gantz has announced that faculty members Argelia González Hurtado, associate professor of Spanish and Latin American studies, and James Mantell, associate professor of psychology have been named to the College’s distinguished Aldom-Plansoen Honors College Professorship.

MacLeod and Ekobo Publish Co-Authored Paper

Associate Professor of French George MacLeod and his former student Isaac Ekobo have published a co-authored article in the peer-reviewed journal French Cultural StudiesThe article is the first academic study of the cult French sitcom "H," and one of the first publications to analyze race-based humor in French television.
