St. Mary's College of Maryland a Top Pick in 2024 Money Magazine Rankings

St. Mary's College of Maryland, the National Public Honors College, was awarded a 4.5-star ranking in Money Magazine's 2024 "Best Colleges in America."
The College also landed on the publication's "Best Public Colleges" and "Best Colleges in the South" listings.
Within Maryland, only Johns Hopkins University ranked higher, with 5 stars. Also receiving 4.5 stars were the University of Maryland at College Park, Loyola University Maryland and Towson University.

Ovington, of Gaithersburg, Maryland majored in economics and international languages and cultures, while at St. Mary's College of Maryland.

Professor Ugues Serves as Observer in Historic Mexican Election

Antonio Ugues Jr., associate professor of political science and public policy and director of the Center for the Study of Democracy, recently returned from Mexico City where he served as an accredited foreign visitor for the 2023-2024 Mexican electoral process. In this role, Ugues took part in election observation and met with officials from Mexico's electoral authorities, as well as candidates for office and political party representatives.
