Assistant Professor Kurpad Awarded Scholarship for Faculty Success Program

Assistant Professor of Psychology Nayantara Kurpad was recently awarded a scholarship that covers the entire tuition ($5,510) for the Spring 2024 Faculty Success Program (January 22 - March 31) offered by the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD). The Faculty Success Program is an intensive online skill-development program that focuses on research productivity, writing and work-life balance.

Associate Professor Barrett Emerick Coauthors Book

Barrett Emerick, associate professor and chair of the Department of Philosophy, is coauthor of the recently published book, "Not Giving Up on People: A Feminist Case for Prison Abolition." Emerick and coauthor Audrey Yap link feminist theory with real-world activism to advocate for systems focused on rehabilitation and restoration to the benefit of victims, perpetrators and society as a whole.
