St. Mary’s College of Maryland Health Services was recognized by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Health for participation in the Influenza-like Illness Surveillance Network for the 2023-24 flu season. Senior biology major Samuel Cross added to this effort with additional research as part of his St. Mary's Project.
