Julia King Featured on the Cover of Historical Archaeology

Julia King, professor of anthropology, was featured on the cover of Historical Archaeology when she was named the 2018 recipient of the J. C. Harrington Award in recognition of her contributions to archaeology spanning decades. Society of Historical Archaeology’s most prestigious award is presented once a year for lifetime contributions to the discipline centered on scholarship.

St. Mary’s College Student Lynn Stevens ’19 Interns at UNC Charlotte

This summer, chemistry major Lynn Stevens ’19, completed an internship that was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The 10-week internship took place at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with nine other students from other parts of the country. Stevens worked in the laboratory of Thomas A.

David Froom Named Maurice Abravanel Visiting Distinguished Composer

On November 12 and 13, 2018, David Froom will be the Maurcie Abravanel Visiting Distinguished Composer at the University of Utah's School of Music. During his residency, he will give a public lecture, interact with composition students, and be honored at a concert featuring his work.

Asif Dowla, professor of economics and Landers Endowed Chair in the Liberal Arts, had a review of the book, “Where India Goes: Abandoned Toilets, Stunted Development and the Costs of Caste” (HarperCollins, 2017) by Diane Coffey and Dean Spears, published in South Asia @LSE blog hosted by the London School of Economics (LSE).
