Draheim Reelected to South Atlantic District Board for Phi Beta Kappa

In early August, Angela Draheim '03, academic program support coordinator and web specialist for the psychology department, represented the Zeta Chapter of Maryland at the 45th Triennial Council of Phi Beta Kappa held in Boston, Massachusetts. During the South Atlantic District meeting there, she was reelected as a board member representing Maryland; there are also board members from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C., in addition to the district's executive committee. Draheim, who was initially elected to the district board at the 44th Triennial Council in 2015, is the current vice president and immediate past president of the Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Chapter which was established in at St. Mary's College of Maryland in 1997.

Phi Beta Kappa, America's most prestigious honor society, is the nation's leading advocate for the liberal arts and sciences at the undergraduate level and elects over 15,000 new members a year from 286 chapters across the United States.
