
Professor of Psychology Libby Nutt Williams and alum Jake Jackson-Wolf '15 recently published an article in the Psychotherapy Bulletin. The article, "The Future of Master’s-level Psychotherapists Trained in Psychology," describes recent changes within the American Psychological Association (APA) regarding master's level training in psychology. The authors overview the challenges still faced by master's level psychotherapists as they seek professional participation in the APA and the ways in which the Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy (Division 29 of the APA) can provide continued leadership as an influential voice in the future of psychotherapy practice, research, education, and advocacy regarding the inclusion of master’s-level psychotherapists.
