Adriana M Brodsky, associate professor of history, has a chapter, titled “The Battle against Guefilte Fish: Asserting Sephardi Culinary Repertoires among Argentine Jews in the Second Half of the Twentieth Century,” included in the upcoming book “Global Jewish Foodways: A History” (University of Nebraska Press, 2018).

The book chronicles the culinary habits of migrating Jewish people and how the traditional ideas about food were brought with them, while also engaging in foods they encountered in their new environments.  “Global Jewish Foodways” offers a fresh perspective on how historical changes through migration, settlement, and accommodation transformed Jewish food and customs.
