St. Mary's College Chamber Singers Present Two Performances of Johannes Brahms' “German Requiem”

The St. Mary's College Chamber Singers under the direction of Professor of Music Larry Vote will present two performances of Johannes Brahms' “German Requiem.”  The first will occur on Saturday, April 14 at 4 p.m. in Auerbach Auditorium of St. Mary's Hall on the College’s campus.  The performance will feature piano accompanists and music faculty members Beverly Babcock and Brian Ganz.  Soprano Rachel Steelman '22 and bass baritone Logan Tarwater '18 will be featured as soloists.  The second performance will occur on Sunday, April 15 at 4 p.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7001 Georgetown Pike, McLean, Va. Featured soloists for the Requiem will be baritone Kerry Wilkerson and soprano Danielle Talamantes. Preceding the Requiem performance, Brian Ganz will perform music of Frédéric Chopin. Both performances are free of charge and open to the public.
