Denesca '27 Awarded Gilman Scholarship for Study Abroad

Tysheena (Ty) Denesca '27, an English major with a minor in French, received an award under the U.S. Department of State’s prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program to support a semester of study abroad. Denesca will spend the spring 2026 semester studying English at University College Dublin in Ireland.

Breece Receives NASA Grant Funds toward Protecting Atlantic Sturgeon

Matthew Breece, assistant professor of marine science, entered the semester with $500,000 in grant funding over three years toward expanding a project he and collaborators began several years ago in Delaware to predict the occurrences of Atlantic Sturgeon as they traverse rivers and coastal waters.

Lecturer Trish Davis Presents Research at Gerontological Society Meeting and Publishes Article in Memory and Cognition Journal

Together with colleagues from her previous institution, the University of Arizona, Lecturer of Psychology Trish Davis recently published an article, “Beyond who, what, and where: Findings from two experiments on age group differences in narrative elaborateness of autobiographical events” in the journal Memory and Cognition.
