Clare Hogan and Mary Adelle

Please join us for a reading of recent poetry by alumni poets Clare Hogan and Mary Adelle!

Mary Adelle (‘11) is the author, artist, and designer of Girl Flame (Babe Press, 2016), a book of spells disguised as poems. Her work has been seen in Alien Mouth, Ink Press Productions, Baltimore Style, and more. She is the founder of The Consent Collective, an organization with the mission to better sex education through facilitation of honest, open dialogues about consent, problematic gender roles, and healthy relationships. She currently lives in Downtown Frederick with her partner and their two cats. In her free time, she roller skates.

Clare Hogan (’16) is a writer from Chevy Chase, Maryland. Her poems have received a Meader Family Award and an Academy of American Poets Prize. She received her MFA in poetry from the Helen Zell Writers’ Program at the University of Michigan, where she is currently a Zell Fellow in poetry.

VOICES gratefully acknowledges the support of the Arts Alliance, the Lecture and Fine Arts Committee and the Department of English.
