Intended Audience
Calling all writers and teachers!
Join us June 16-22 for a terrific creative experience immersed in words, water, and woods — write on the river!
This year’s Chesapeake Writers’ Conference at SMCM promises to be a weeklong literary adventure packed with:
- Engaging workshops and panels: Deepen your knowledge of your choice of genre — poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction — to hone your writing techniques and explore new avenues for creativity.
- Accomplished speakers and industry experts: meet and learn from professional writing professionals, gain invaluable insights and get inspired by their success stories.
- Networking events: Connect with fellow writers, share experiences and build lasting relationships that can benefit your writing journey.
- CPD Credit for Teachers: Earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit via the Teachers’ Seminar, which is an MSDE-approved CPD course that provides two graduate-level credits from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, which can be used toward fulfilling CPD requirements in Maryland and elsewhere. - A dedicated Youth Workshop for high school-age students interested in exploring the world of the written and spoken word —”more about that here >>.
Writers of all levels and experiences are encouraged to apply; we are standing by to answer your questions.
Make waves with us on the river this summer!
