Chopin: Spirit of Poland, Part 2. "The Heroic Chopin" 

Brian Ganz continues his exploration of Frédéric Chopin's deep connection to his homeland with one of his best known works, the great "Heroic" Polonaise Op. 53, and one of his least known works, the Allegro de Concert, Op. 46. One of Chopin's most joyful works of unrestrained celebration, the Allegro is the piece Chopin said would be the first he would perform in an independent Poland. Sadly, he never had that opportunity.
