Compositions by Professor of Music David Froom to be Performed Throughout Coming Weeks

Professor of Music David Froom's recent compositions will be featured eight times in the coming weeks.

First is the world premiere of his "Canzoni di Notte," a clarinet concerto, performed as the winner of the Riverside Orchestra's national competition, at Carnegie Hall on Feb. 5.

The next day, Feb. 6, will feature the world premiere of his "Three Fantasy Dances: a concerto for Wind Ensemble" by the "President's Own" Marine Band, at their concert site in Alexandria, VA.

On Feb.14, the New York New Music Ensemble will give the New York premiere of his "Hidden Motives," a 12-minute work for chamber ensemble.

Then on Feb. 27, Collage New Music will give the Boston premiere of this same chamber work.

Finally, over the weekend of March 4-6, the Folger Consort will give four world premiere performances of his brand-new "Lament for the City," a work for tenor and Renaissance instruments.
