Associate Professor of Psychology Scott Mirabile and colleagues recently published an article entitled "Psychometric properties of the Persian version of the Coping with Children’s Negative Emotions Scale" in the Iranian Journal of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
There are few validated tools for studying how Iranian parents teach children about emotions. In this study researchers describe a rigorous linguistic and cultural translation process and present data supporting the reliability and validity of a Persian version of the Coping with Children's Negative Emotions Scale.
Professor Mirabile has assisted in translating and validating measures into Portuguese, Persian, Albanian, Norwegian, Turkish, Urdu, and Italian.
