Institutional Advancement/Integrated Marketing Office at St. Mary’s College Wins Two Awards in Collegiate Advertising Awards

St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s Office of Institutional Advancement/Integrated Marketing has won two awards in the 2019 Collegiate Advertising Awards.

Integrated Marketing won the Gold Award for the Apply Now postcard series in the category of Direct Mail – Series. The winning series of three postcards was mailed to perspective students during the 2019-20 academic year.  The department won a Silver Award for the folder within the Admitted Seahawks Packet in the Pocket Folder category. Featuring the College’s picturesque location, the folder was delivered to students admitted to St. Mary’s College.

Both the postcard series and pocket folder were created and designed in-house by Keely Houk '17, senior graphic designer, with collaboration from the Office of Admission. These awards make six national awards Institutional Advancement's Integrated Marketing team has won this 2019-2020 school term. 

The Collegiate Advertising Awards is an elite, national program recognizing higher education organizations for excellence in communications, marketing, advertising and promotions of their schools. The 2019 awards program received entries from the United States and Canada representing small community colleges to large schools and universities.

Awards were issued for entries that received top marks from judges placing them in the top 16 percent of the nation for advertising excellence.  Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.
