St. Mary's College of Maryland's Communications & Marketing team was recognized with a pair of awards in the 41st Annual Educational Advertising Awards competition, the largest educational advertising awards competition in the U.S. A gold award went to the admission brochure with poster, "This is the Place Where You'll Take the Lead." A silver award went to the admission viewbook, Spanish language edition, "No Importa de Dónde Vengas, Puedes Llegar Comenzando Aquí." Both print pieces were designed by Jennifer "Jo" Oliver '99, senior graphic designer and a member of the Communications & Marketing team, in collaboration with members of the Admission team. Over 2,000 entries were received from over 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and numerous foreign countries. Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals.
