Provost Katie Gantz represented St. Mary’s College of Maryland on WJZ-TV | CBS Baltimore Aug. 14 for the CBS Baltimore News channel's "Campus Connect" series. In the piece, “Campus Connection: St. Mary's College of Maryland is creating an honors experience for every student,” Gantz highlighted the National Public Honors College, focusing on the honors college experience, the honors college promise and faculty mentorship and proven outcomes.
When speaking of the honors college promise, Gantz said that "the honors college promise guarantees that our students really have the best possible mix of combining the learning that they do in the classroom with hands-on activity: think internships, think study abroad, think guided research and career preparation. We really have arranged our curriculum so that as students move through their four years at St Mary’s, the curriculum takes them to a place where those big signature opportunities have meaning and connect back to the work that they do after college."
