Step Afrika! 101 blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities; traditional African dances; and an array of contemporary dance and art forms into a cohesive, compelling artistic experience. Performances are much more than dance shows; they integrate songs, storytelling, humor and audience participation. The blend of technique, agility, and pure energy makes each performance unique and leaves the audience with their hearts pounding.

- The Step Afrika! 101 performers normally invite a small number (15) of audience members to come on stage and participate in a "step training" session. If you plan on volunteering, please ensure that you have appropriate footwear on to avoid damaging the stage flooring.  Ideal shoes would be soft-soled non-scuff varieties, like sneakers/tennis shoes. No volunteers from the audience will be allowed on stage if their footwear will damage the stage surface.

Tickets now open to the general public! Reserve your tickets.

- If you reserved tickets and are no longer able to attend the event, please be kind and cancel your reservations so someone else can enjoy the show!
