The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Hooding Ceremony is an opportunity for the graduating cohort to celebrate the work they have done during their graduate year. The event consists of a small reception and a ceremony where they receive their master’s hoods and receive congratulations and charges from their faculty. We invite a speaker every year who has a connection to the MAT and/or educational studies programs, including alumni who are still in the teaching profession in some capacity.

The 2024 Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Hooding Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 10.

Master's Research Project (MRP) presentations will now be held in Kent Hall at 4 p.m. Following the presentations, we will have a reception in the Garden of Remembrance, and our Hooding Ceremony will take place in St. Mary’s Hall at 6 p.m. Parking is available in Lot K and Lot E. Lot A will be closed due to construction.
