Students for Justice are excited to host an event with the first all-female dabke troupe in the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland & Virginia area).

Dabke is an energetic Palestinian folk dance representing cultural identity, unity and resistance.

It is characterized by synchronized stomping, hopping and kicking in a line or circle, while the dancers hold hands or shoulders and rhythmically move.  Often performed at weddings and festivals, dabke is central to most Palestinian celebrations.

Come join the celebration on Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. at Daugherty-Palmer Commons (DPC). Explore Palestinian culture through a vibrant performance, informative lecture and authentic cuisine from Mezeh.
