Moneeza Ahmed has over 15 years of experience working in the social development sector, with a focus on community development and livelihoods in marginalized communities, particularly focusing on women. She has worked extensively in Kashmir, Northern Sindh and in coastal areas in Karachi. She has also been an activist for the last 17 years and has been part of the lawyers’ movement, the anti-war movement, and has done advocacy for student rights and labor rights, and on disappearances and extrajudicial killings. She is also one of the founding members of the Aurat March and started the movement with several other phenomenal feminists in 2018. She is also a qualified Integrative Humanistic Therapist and likes to integrate mental health and political work.
