Biography
Kelsey Champagne is a historian of the Atlantic world, with a focus on the material, religious, and cultural history of the British Isles, colonial North America (with a particular emphasis on St. Mary's City), and the West Indies. Before joining SMCM, she was a curator at Johns Hopkins, where she helped build a collection of rare books, manuscripts, ephemera, and art exclusively relating to women in early modern Europe and Latin America, entitled Women of the Book.
