Brittany Chanell Johnson

Biography

A native of Augusta, Georgia and the product of two creatives – Brittany Chanell Johnson began working creatively more than 20 years ago. In this time she has earned a Master’s of Music and vocal performance and transformed the performance abilities of many people and organizations - choirs, ensembles, actors, soloists, and performing arts troupes. Her teaching, directing, and coaching styles intertwine discipline, encouragement, love, and enthusiasm; connecting with artists on a personal level and shaping each into skilled performers. She is a sought after teacher, panelist, and consultant specializing in Black Artistry in worship, performance (styles and techniques), and pedagogy.

Brittany founded OnStage Performing Arts Collective in 2017 (OnStagePAC.com). OPAC is a performance-based training ground for young people interested in music, dance, and theater arts. It was founded so that all might have access to quality artistic training. In addition to her work as educator and performer, Ms. Johnson is honored to serve the Music and Creative Arts Ministry of Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church as director. Above all, Brittany is a curator of creativity who loves to share the joy of art and life with everyone that she meets. Her desire is for all to see LIGHT and, in turn, be inspired.
