A number of governments conduct hacking activity for the purposes of spying, to influence world events such as elections, and to steal intellectual property for economic reasons. Daniel will discuss cyber threat intelligence, the career field for researching and understanding state-sponsored and criminal hacking activity. 

 

Daniel Gordon is a cyber threat intelligence analyst contracted to the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center(DC3) where he researches North Korean and emerging cyber threats. He holds a BA in political science from St Mary’s College of Maryland, an MS in modeling and simulation from the University of Central Florida, and a number of industry certifications.
