Are you interested in film? Would you like to explore philosophical issues related to the study of film? 

The Philosophy and Religious Studies department is offering PHIL 380.01, Topics in Philosophy: “Philosophy and Film” for Fall 2019.

  • The course will examine classical philosophical texts from both Eastern and Western philosophy-including the writings of Plato, Descartes, Buddhism, Taoism, Nietzsche and Sartre, and will critically examine films from Korea, China, Tibet, India, America, and Europe. 
  • Instructor: Professor John Schroeder  * Days/Times:  TR 6:00-7:50 pm  * Location:  Library 114. 

There are no prerequisites for this course. Registration begins March 27.
