Catherine Teater Grube ‘06 is putting the emphasis on the community portion of her business motto: “Coffee. Conversation. Community. ”

The St. Inie’s coffee shop owner recently began St. Inie’s Service Salute to provide coffee and beignets to first responders, medical professionals and grocery store employees in St. Mary’s County during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Let’s salute their service to our community by fueling their long and challenging days,” she wrote in a recent post on Facebook. Through the shop’s website, community members can purchase items such as a cup or box of coffee to be delivered to essential workers on the front lines. St. Inie’s keeps a list of nominated locations and coordinates with each to schedule safe, no-contact deliveries.

We are so proud of our alumni who are on the front lines or finding ways to support those who are during these uncertain times. The College would love to share these stories with the community. If you or an alum you know have a story to share, please fill out the COVID-19 Alumni Impact Story Collection Form
