My time at SMCM made me the musician I am today. It was the perfect setting to learn and grow, and yes, practice. I’d spend hours in the practice room and then go sit by the river to reflect and recharge. The guidance I got from my professors made me well-rounded, well-read, and prepared for whatever professional environment I’d step into, whether that was singing with an orchestra, accompanying a choir, teaching at a university, or even joining a military band. I will be forever grateful for my professors who shared their time, talent, and expertise with me.
