Biography

Sergeant Gerald Sellers joined the Saint Mary’s College of Maryland Office of Public Safety in October 2014. He currently serves as the Day Shift Patrol Sergeant and fulfills the additional role of the Department’s Training Coordinator, overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of essential training programs for all personnel.

Sgt. Sellers is a Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission (MPCTC) certified instructor, as well as an instructor for R.A.D. Women’s Self-Defense, defensive tactics, and the ASP expandable baton. His instructional expertise enables him to provide specialized, high-quality training that enhances officer readiness, operational effectiveness, and community safety.

Before joining Saint Mary’s College, Sgt. Sellers served for six years in the United States Marine Corps, with his last assignment at Bravo Company, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion.
