Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Pam Mertz is lead author on a recent publication, “Cultivating Collaboration in BioMolViz: Key Attributes for Building a STEM Educator Community of Practice” in the journal, Biochemistry and Molecular Education. The manuscript was written in collaboration with members of the BioMolViz community, for which Mertz serves as associate director.
Additionally, Mertz was interviewed about the BioMolViz community by ASBMB Today, the member magazine for the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. The interview resulted in an article published Oct. 20, on how BioMolViz has transformed biomolecular visualization education.
At the national meeting of the ASBMB, Mertz was interviewed about BioMolViz and the ASBMB scientist-education community. The video of that interview was published on the ASBMB LinkedIn page on Oct. 21.
