Biochemist Sherrer Presents Posters at ASBMB Annual Meeting

Associate Professor of Biochemistry Shanen Sherrer presented two posters at the annual meeting of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB), held March 7–10 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Sherrer's first presentation, "Student Perceptions of Learning Data Analysis Skills for Protein Structure Studies Using a Novel Bioinformatics Tool" reflects her work as a teacher scholar enhancing undergraduate student career readiness. Her second presentation, "Mentorship Impact of a Multidisciplinary Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program" highlighted Sherrer's collaborative work as an AAAS Science & Technology Policy fellow (2023-25) while placed at the National Institutes of Health's NCI Division of Cancer Prevention.
