Measles Update for the St. Mary’s College Community

On August 24, 2026, the Maryla​nd Department of Health declared a measles outbreak in St. Mary’s, Carroll, and Cecil counties. The St. Mary’s County Health Department (SMCHD) has asked community partners to share important information about the outbreak. Currently, there is no evidence of widespread community transmission. Most reported cases have occurred among unvaccinated household contacts. For the latest information, please see the Maryland Department of Health press release.

MMR Vaccination

The St. Mary’s County Health Department offers the MMR vaccine daily by appointment at:
