On August 24, 2026, the Maryland Department of Health declared a measles outbreak in St. Mary’s, Carroll, and Cecil counties. The St. Mary’s County Health Department (SMCHD) has asked community partners to share important information about the outbreak. Currently, there is no evidence of widespread community transmission. MMR Vaccination
The St. Mary’s County Health Department offers the MMR vaccine daily by appointment at:
- SMCHD’s Health Clinic in Leonardtown and the School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs)
- All of SMCHD’s Back to School Vaccine Clinics in August and September
