In collaboration with the Counseling Center, CITL is offering FREE Mental Health First Aid training for the campus community on Friday June 5th from 9am-3:30pm at CITL in the Library Annex. This training consists of approximately 2 hours of preparation before the in-person session. Hybrid options are NOT available at this time. CITL will cover the registration cost and provide lunch tickets for participants. Please register by Friday May 29th if you wish to attend.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. The training will take place from 9am-3:30pm and there will be a 1-hour break for lunch from 12-1pm. This training is first come, first served and the goal is to fill 25 spots. The training consists of two parts: a 2-hour, self-paced online portion and a 5.5-hour in-person portion.
