Today is the last day to become a Giving Tuesday champion and compete for $30,000 in prizes donated by the Alumni Council. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to take action in support of a SMCM cause near and dear to you. Students, staff, faculty, SMCM supporters—everyone is invited to participate!
This Giving Tuesday on December 2, join the SMCM Alumni Council Challenge by signing up to be a champion and compete for a share of $30,000 in prizes donated by the Alumni Council for your favorite SMCM cause or fund.
Here’s how it works, step by step: |
1. Register to be a Champion
Sign up to represent your favorite SMCM cause and compete for bonus funding during Giving Tuesday.
2. Leading up to Giving Tuesday – Prepare and Promote
Use the tools we provide (optional Zoom info sessions, email and social media templates and your personalized giving link) to inspire friends and family to donate $10 or more on Giving Tuesday and vote for you as their Champion.
3. On Giving Tuesday – Reach Out and Rally Support
Share your special giving link to direct donations to your chosen cause. From the $30,000 donated by the Alumni Council, you’ll earn $10 for every alum or student who votes for you, and if you finish among the top ten Champions (by vote), your cause will receive an additional $500 - $5,000 prize.
4. Following Giving Tuesday – Celebrate Your Impact
Take pride in what you accomplished and enjoy the exclusive SMCM merch you earned based on your total number of votes.
