Congratulations to Melissa Johnson, the October winner for the Seahawk Spirit Award!

Melissa Johnson works in the Library and Archive department and was nominated under the St. Mary's Way Award category.

This is what the nominator shared about Melissa: "I would like to nominate Melissa Johnson for the St. Mary's Way Award. As the library’s Customer Service Supervisor, Melissa "contributes a spirit of caring and an ethic of service" as defined in the St. Mary's Way. In addition to her daily duties managing the operations of the library’s circulation desk, Melissa initiated the well loved library candy bowl and the rotating seasonal decorations on the first floor that contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for all SMCM students, staff, and faculty."

As the monthly winner, Melissa will receive 5 meal tickets to the Great Room and a certificate of appreciation.

If you see Melissa around on campus please congratulate her and thank Melissa for everything she does to make our SMCM community a wonderful place to be!
