Biography
MD. HAIDAR SHARIF (Member, IEEE) was born in Jashore, Bangladesh, in 1977. He received the BSc in Electronics and Computer Science from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh, in 2001, the MSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, in 2006, and the PhD in Computer Science from the University of Lille 1, France, in 2010. From January 2011 to January 2016, he was with Izmir University Bakırcay (old Gediz University), Türkiye, as an Assistant Professor. From April 2016 to June 2017, he was with the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Bosnia and Herzegovina, as an Assistant Professor. From October 2017 to September 2018, he was with International Balkan University (IBU), North Macedonia, as an Associate Professor. From November 2018 to August 2021, he was with Hail University, Saudi Arabia, as an Associate Professor. From September 2021 to March 2024, he was with the University of Agder (UiA), Norway, as a Research Fellow. From July 2024, he has been employed as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science with the St. Mary’s College of Maryland (SMCM). He is the author of the book titled "Sundry Applications and Computations of Sin() & Cos()". His research interests include the applications of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, computer vision, deep learning, brain–computer interface (BCI) technologies, and computer architecture.
