The Phi Beta Kappa Society, the nation’s most prestigious academic honor society, launched its Key into Public Service program to connect promising arts and sciences students with opportunities in public service. The Society seeks online applications for the Key into Public Service Scholarship from arts, humanities, mathematics, social sciences, and natural sciences majors interested in career opportunities in local, state and federal government.

Scholarship recipients will receive $5,000 undergraduate scholarships and an educational conference experience in Washington, D.C. that will provide scholars with training, mentoring and reflection on pathways into local, state and federal government careers.

Phi Beta Kappa membership is not required. Characteristics of ideal recipients include intellectual curiosity, interdisciplinary breadth and depth of arts and sciences coursework, leadership propensity and service to others. Students within all arts and sciences disciplines are encouraged to apply. Must possess an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher with an anticipated graduation date of Fall/Winter 2024 through Spring 2026.

Interested students can learn more and apply online through January 24, 2024 at pbk.org/ServiceScholarsApp.
