Brazilian artist, researcher, and practitioner of Theater of the Oppressed Julian Boal visits SMCM October 11-12 to offer workshops to students and present two talks to the campus community. Space in the workshops is limited, but the talks - one introduction to the principles of Theatre of the Oppressed, the other a talk about his recently published book Theatre of the Oppressed and Its Times - are free and open to the public.
If you are interested in joining one of the smaller daytime workshops or have any questions about the visit, please contact Amy Steiger in the Performing Arts Department - alsteiger@smcm.edu or sign up here, first come first served. PLEASE NOTE: Wednesday's sessions are one continuous workshop throughout the day, but the workshops on Thursday are separate, each its own event: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LUEdHtyStnpp-X52Jo44QyDkxIxc-nA-TZm…. All are in the Blackistone Room in Anne Arundel Hall.
