TDPS390: Devising a Community Based Play is building a play in collaboration with LGBTQIA+ communities in Southern Maryland that will be produced on our main stage season at the beginning of March 2024.
We're now at the stage of gathering with the community to share stories and talk about how this project might best serve them. PFLAG of Southern Maryland will be sharing this information with their community, and we'll also be attending Southern Maryland Pride. But we're using all avenues we can think of to invite folks to participate.
The story circles and community gatherings are coming up VERY quickly, so I'm asking for your help reaching out to possible participants - either folks who want to come share stories in a small group (we have snacks!) or people who are willing to be interviewed by one of the student artists. The first gathering is this Sunday, September 24, at 1:00. The second is October 1 at 2:00. They're on St. Marys' campus. We'll give folks the specific location when they sign up. One-on-one interviews will be scheduled separately. Participants can sign up for a story circle or interview and find more information here.
There's also an anonymous form where people can answer our interview questions without divulging personal information at all. That can be found here.
